In Jane Davila’s mixed-media workshop, you’ll make a small fiber book from one piece of fabric using a variety of surface design techniques and mixed-media materials. Each of the eight pages of the completed book is the size of an artist trading card and reflects a specific theme or topic. You’ll use fabric, acrylics, pastels, fusible web, a sewing machine, and more to create your pocket-sized piece of art.

When you can’t fit your box spring upstairs, do like we did. CUT IT in half! You’re going to cut the box spring from side to side, not from top to bottom. Instructions: (1)Peel back the dust cover under the box spring half way. (2) Mark the mid points of the box spring and cut the cloth on the sides. (3)Take a small saw and cut the boards. (4)Bring the box spring upstairs and re-assemble using metal brackets (5) Use staple gun to re-attach the dust cover. I left the holes open on the sides of the boxspring because I decided not to sew it closed.
