Does anyone know where I can get instructions for the singer sewing machine, Tiny Tailor- Mending Machine- Model#M100A? I know that you can get instructions at singer but because this is an older model it is not available on their website. Also I am aware that I can get it on ebay and other websites of the same, but I wanted to just be able to download it at no cost. I don't really want to pay for it if I don't have to, and I don't want to wait for it to come in the mail. Can someone help me? Thank you!
singer is a standardized sewing machine company. If you can operate one you can operate all. The differences in the manuals are really trivial. I Have several, my gram left me seven different machines, three are sionger, none have manuals.
the basics are you thread the machine from thread spindle on the upper right toward the left catching each thread guide as you go, in this order: thread spindl to the left, thread guide then down front, around the tension and all the way counterclockwise till the wiry thread guide catches the thread, up to the take up lever, down to thread guide and then needle.
The last thread guide dictates the direction of the needle hole. If the thread guide opens on the side the needle hole faces front, if it opens toward you then the needle hole goes side to side.
You know, you might be able to find the Singer how to sew book at the local Library. They put out a book that covers most if not all their machines and dressmaking and tailoring patterns and much more.
